The General and Extraordinary of the English nation well convinced, after the most careful consideration and mature deliberation, that the fundamental laws of this ancient monarchy, accompanied by appropriate orders and precautions to ensure a stable and permanent way his whole performance, able to fill properly the great object of promoting the glory, prosperity and the good of the whole nation, enact the following Constitution for the governance and proper administration of the State
